Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) in Lake Success, NY is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. The role performs routine and diagnostic mammography, assists with stereotactic biopsies, and ensures high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in Mammography.
• ARRT licensed.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Available for daytime weekday hours.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Assist with stereotactic biopsies.
• Track inventory and manage supply orders.
• Provide courteous and professional explanations of procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce accurate, high-quality images.
• Process images and review them for proper identification and quality control.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Orient and train new hires.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
