Qualifications

• Education: Two years formal education in a hospital-based program or associates degree in radiologic technology required.
• Experience: One year experience in mammography related services required.
• Certification: ARRT certification in radiology required. ARRT certification in mammography required. Documentation and completion of 40 hours of mammographic continuing education required by MQSA after April 28, 1999.
• License: Florida Radiologic Technology license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammography, and bone density.
• Must also perform specialized breast biopsies to include stereotactic breast biopsies and needle/savi localization under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Ensures that quality control as required under the ACR (American College of Radiology) and MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) is being met.
• Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee and physician satisfaction.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Participates in staff/student orientation training.
