About the Position

Department: Diagnostic Imaging

Hours: Per Diem

Locations: Marlborough Medical Center (Marlborough, CT) and Shoreline Medical Center (Westbrook, CT)

Position Summary

The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of breast imaging procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for patients, coworkers, and medical staff at all times.
• Practice safety protocols when identifying patients throughout all breast imaging procedures.
• Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, explaining procedures and equipment, and answering questions.
• Provide high-quality breast imaging by following established protocols, making necessary adjustments, and retaking images as required.
• Apply teamwork principles in patient care.
• Exercise independent, professional judgment in performing breast imaging.

Minimum Qualifications

• Radiologic Technologist ARRT board certified.
• Mammography ARRT board certified.
• Must meet all ACR/FDA personnel qualifications.
• Familiar with EPIC, Philips PACS, Hologic Mammography Equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Compassionate patient care skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-organized.
