Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-M (Mammography) certifications, BLS.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain exams clearly (AIDET) to reduce patient anxiety.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality before releasing patients.
• Operate equipment safely and keep it clean per FDA guidelines.
• Document QA/QC tests and label images accurately in PACS/RIS.
