Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center seeks a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will work in a fast-paced team within a well‑established radiology department, ensuring safety, accuracy and clear communication with patients and providers.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: minimum 1 year as Radiologic Technologist and 1 year of mammography in a hospital.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain the exam clearly (AIDET) to reduce patient anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy and comfort; assist with transfers as needed.
• Review images for quality; maintain first-time acceptance rate.
• Operate mammography equipment safely; optimize dose and technique.
• Document methods in PACS/RIS and complete daily charge capture.
