Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center seeks a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and patient support in a collaborative hospital environment. This part-time role offers a predictable schedule with flexibility, focusing on imaging quality, patient comfort, and safety in all procedures.

The position requires ARRT credentials in Radiography and Mammography, as well as BLS, with an emphasis on teamwork and accuracy in a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Radiologic Technologist; at least 1 year mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications; BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and verify patient identity with two identifiers.
• Review images for quality; maintain a strong first-time acceptance rate.
• Operate mammography equipment safely; optimize dose and adhere to infection control guidelines.
• Document QC tests and ensure proper labeling, orientation, and PACS/RIS entry.
• Provide clear pre- and post-exam instructions; support training of new team members.
