Job summary

Plan A Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging at a busy breast and X-ray center. You will perform mammography exams with patient safety and comfort in mind, gather patient history and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.

You will review images for quality and accuracy, operate equipment safely, and maintain documentation in PACS/RIS while adhering to infection control standards. ACR/MQSA QC tests and training support for teammates are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent + completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year radiologic technologist experience with mammography in a hospital setting
• ARTR-R, ARRT-M and BLS certifications required

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams with patient safety and comfort in mind
• Gather patient history, explain procedures and reduce anxiety
• Review images for quality and accuracy in PACS/RIS
• Operate mammography equipment safely and maintain cleanliness
• Complete QC tests and ensure imaging meets ACR/MQSA guidelines
• Support patient privacy, positioning and transfers
• Provide clear instructions and training support for team members
• Maintain timely documentation and professional communication in a fast-paced environment
