Job summary

Plan A Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging at a busy breast and X-ray center. You will perform mammography exams with patient safety and comfort in mind, gather patient history and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.

You will review images for quality and accuracy, operate equipment safely, and maintain documentation in PACS/RIS while adhering to infection control standards. ACR/MQSA QC tests and training support for teammates are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent + completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year radiologic technologist experience with mammography in a hospital setting
• ARTR-R, ARRT-M and BLS certifications required

• Gathering patient history, explaining procedures, and reducing anxiety


• Reviewing images for quality and accuracy, ensuring proper documentation in PACS/RIS


• Operating mammography equipment safely, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to infection control standards


• Completing QC tests and ensuring imaging meets ACR/MQSA guidelines


• Supporting patient privacy, positioning, and assisting with transfers


• Providing clear instructions, addressing questions, and supporting training for team members


• Maintaining timely documentation and professional communication in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications Include

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program


• At least 1 year of radiologic technologist experience and mammography experience in a hospital setting


• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS from the American Heart Association
