The role involves patient positioning, screening for contraindications, and providing clear instructions to reduce anxiety. Technicians must operate equipment safely, perform quality control tests, and uphold infection control standards. Effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, with at least 1 year of radiologic and mammography experience. Certifications required are ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS.
