Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms per MQSA guidelines. You will prepare patients, ensure accurate labeling, and manage data in PenRad and RadNet, supporting radiologists with high-quality images.

The role requires knowledge of breast anatomy, strong communication, and ability to comfort anxious patients while maintaining safety and privacy during procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.
• Completion of training in mammography specialty.
• Knowledge of breast anatomy and radiographic positioning.
• Ability to recognize fear or anxiety in patients and respond appropriately.
• Registered in Mammography-ARRT (M) and licensed as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms per MQSA guidelines.
• Ensure correct labeling of all images and proper handling of patient data.
• Prepare and process patient information in PenRad; verify historic data.
• Prepare images for radiologist interpretation and ensure study conducted per department standards.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Perform equipment QC and operate within safety standards; maintain clean, calibrated equipment.
