Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified Mammography Technologist to operate mammographic equipment, adjust factors for image quality and dose, and ensure safety and comfort for patients in the department.

You will bill exams using the DMI system, maintain patient records, and support emergency care with CPR certification. This full-time role requires ARRT registration and state licensing for mammography.

Qualifications

• Completion ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program; ARRT Registered or registry eligible
• Must recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups treated; experience preferred
• Ability to explain procedures and provide reassurance to patients

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and adjust technical factors to optimize image quality and minimize dose
• Ensure professional, consistent operation and protect patient safety; monitor equipment and report malfunctions
• Explain procedures to patients and provide clear instructions and support during imaging
• Bill all patient exams using the DMI system and maintain accurate records
• Support emergency care and CPR-certified readiness in the department
• Perform clerical duties and maintain mammography suites and supplies
