Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced Mammography Technologist to determine optimal technique and positioning for high-quality breast imaging. You will operate advanced radiographic equipment, ensure patient safety, and maintain documentation while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing the room, stocking supplies, and adhering to quality control and regulatory requirements to support radiologists in accurate diagnosis. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology.
• ARRT radiography and mammography certification or active credentialing.
• IDNS licensure required.
• CPR certification and ongoing education expected.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate mammography technique and positioning to obtain high-quality images.
• Position patient and adjust equipment and immobilization devices as needed while maintaining courtesy.
• Operate mammography/radiographic equipment and monitor supplies for readiness.
• Maintain patient records, schedule exams and ensure safety standards and shielding.
• Ensure clean, safe work environment and follow universal precautions and safety policies.
• Maintain ARRT and IDNS licensure and participate in ongoing education and quality control.
