Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) is seeking a Mammography Technologist for Westhampton, NY. You will perform routine and diagnostic mammography, assist with stereotactic biopsies, and manage imaging workflow to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements include at least 1 year of mammography experience, ARRT licensing, excellent communication and organizational skills, and daytime weekday availability. English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and a 4-day workweek.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of continuous experience in Mammography.
• Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Availability to work daytime weekday hours.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Assist with stereotactic biopsies.
• Track inventory and manage supply orders.
• Provide courteous and professional explanations of procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce accurate, high-quality images.
• Process images and review them for proper identification and quality control.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Orient and train new hires.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
