Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures at our Brooklyn location. You will assist with stereotactic biopsies, manage supply orders, and ensure patient comfort and cooperation through clear explanations of procedures.

The position requires at least one year of mammography experience and ARRT licensure. Strong communication, organizational skills, and computer proficiency are essential, with daytime weekday availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of continuous experience in mammography.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Availability to work daytime weekday hours.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Assist with stereotactic biopsies.
• Track inventory and manage supply orders.
• Provide courteous and professional explanations of procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce accurate, high-quality images.
• Process images and review them for proper identification and quality control.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Orient and train new hires.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
