Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) in Westhampton, NY is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform routine and diagnostic mammography and assist with biopsies. You will ensure patient comfort, position patients, and manage exposure factors to produce high-quality images.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of continuous experience in Mammography.
• Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Daytime weekday hours available.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Assist with stereotactic biopsies.
• Track inventory and manage supply orders.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce quality images.
• Process images and review for proper identification and QC.
• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.
• Orient and train new hires.
