Join Midstate Radiology Associates (MRA) as a Full-Time Mammography/X-ray Technologist at West Hartford Imaging.
Shift Schedule: Mon & Tue 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Wed & Thu 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM, Fri 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and alternating Saturdays 8:00 AM - Noon.
Compensation: MRA offers competitive starting compensation based on qualifications and experience. The compensation range for this position is: Min: $29.00 - Max: $53.00 + competitive shift differentials (12%-50% of base rate). A sign-on bonus of $10,000.00 will be offered to well-qualified candidates.
Position Summary:
The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic mammographic procedures in a hospital or outpatient-based facility, according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Most locations also offer x-ray and Dexa in which technologists serve as a multi-modality technologist covering three modalities: Mammography, X-Ray, Bone Density/Dexa.
Operates equipment and performs radiological and therapeutic examinations through proper positioning of patients and preparation to assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment. Follows established policies and procedures set by the department, hospital, state, ACR, TJC, and OSHA.
The Mammography Technologist operates digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment and performs procedures by positioning patients, preparing contrast medias, and selecting the correct exposure factors utilizing the assessment of patient age, pathology and diagnosis to produce technically accurate digital and or analog images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis.
