This position, under the supervision of a radiologist and department leadership, involves performing imaging on all general radiographic equipment. There are opportunities to expand skills into modalities such as Interventional Radiology, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Bone Density. The technologist must be competent and certified in all areas they work in, with the ability to recognize general radiography anatomy. Responsibilities include providing excellent service, complying with hospital policies, and using RIS/PACS and HIS systems for recording and sharing patient results.

Minimum Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of an approved and accredited Radiology Technology program
3. Recent hospital-related experience (up to one year)
4. Experience with Digital Imaging and PACS post-processing
5. Experience with portable and in-department fluoroscopy procedures
6. Experience with Operating Room procedures

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Current state R.T. license
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association
• Must obtain 24 ECE credits within two years for recertification and licensure
• Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
• ARRT Certification; specialty ARRT certifications are highly desirable

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Ability to maintain competencies in all certified modalities
• Willingness to support staffing patterns with scheduling flexibility
• Knowledge of care provision based on patient development and safety across all age groups
• Moderate computer skills

Pay Range: $28.71 - $42.45
