Job description

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of the Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist, this position competently performs imaging on nuclear medicine equipment. Responsible for following scanning and imaging protocols, recognizing cross-sectional anatomy, performing scans, and injecting isotopes where applicable. Ensures service excellence and compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Uses RIS/PACS and HIS systems for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of results.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completed an AMA-approved and accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Recent hospital-related experience (up to one year)
  • Experience with Digital Imaging and post-processing PACS
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) or ARRT certification
  • Current Vt. state NMRT license
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
  • Obtain 24 ECE credits within two years for recertification and licensure
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Advanced assessment skills relevant to the specialty area
  • Ability to modify procedures or perform additional studies for optimal diagnostics
  • Ability to evaluate the appropriateness of examinations based on clinical information
  • Planning, organizing, and goal-setting skills for review and evaluation
Compensation

Pay Range: $33.32 - $49.27
