Job description

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code, demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance as a Radiologic Mammography Technologist. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for accurate diagnosis. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people, playing a significant role in the patient experience.

Some of your daily activities will include:

  1. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment and perform patient care services supporting the physician/practice under supervision of radiologists, licensed staff, and management.
  2. Help capture diagnostic images from patients for accurate diagnosis by radiologists.
  3. Ensure thorough and accurate imaging techniques for patient positioning according to the order.
  4. Assist in preparing patients for radiologic/mammography examinations.
  5. Relay instructions from radiologists to patients or authorized persons.
  6. Document patient data, concerns, messages, and care in medical records for radiologist review, and perform diagnostic imaging.
  7. Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to prevent failures.

**May be required to work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.**
