As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess. Job Overview: This position performs mammography procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail under the direction of a Radiologist. Performs quality control on dedicated mammography equipment and quality assurance on patient care. Assists the Radiologist in biopsy procedures. Duties include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Performs mammography procedures.
- Assists in biopsy procedures.
- Opportunities to perform breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy and/or bone density studies.
- Performs clerical functions and computer data entry.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education:- Must have a degree from an accredited Medical Imaging program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist, or within 6 months of hire if a new grad
- Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist in the state in which you will practice M credentials through ARRT, or within 12 months of hire
- Minimum of one year working experience as a Radiographer preferred
