Job summary

RadNet in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join a team delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care. You will operate mammography equipment, produce diagnostic images, and support patients throughout the exam process.

Required ARRT(R)(M) certification, a state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, and BLS. One year of imaging experience is preferred. We offer competitive benefits and a pay range of $55–$75 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and related devices per policy.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images promptly while ensuring patient care.
• Monitor patient wellbeing during exams and respond to discomfort or issues.
• Guide patients through procedures and answer questions about exam steps.
• Respond to physician questions and patient needs regarding imaging.
• Safeguard patient PHI and property; follow privacy and security policies.
• Safeguard on-site medications per policy and regulations.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers and respect boundaries.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes‑difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on‑site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
