Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Mammography Technologist in California to join our patient-focused imaging team. You will operate mammography equipment, produce diagnostic images, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout exams.

Required ARRT certification, state license, BLS, and at least one year of diagnostic imaging experience. We offer a strong benefits package and competitive hourly pay in the 55–75 USD range.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and related devices per policy.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images promptly while delivering excellent patient care.
• Understand and apply compression, exposure modes, KvP, Mas, grid, focal spot, AEC and other adjustments to optimize images.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues.
• Guide patients through procedures with clear communication and support.
• Respond to physician questions and patient needs.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology

Pay Range: $55.00 – $75.00 per hour
