Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Grand Rapids location to administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will work with radiologists on interventional biopsies and operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

The position requires ARRT certification and Mammography certification within 24 months if not already current, with rotation across Day/Eve/Night shifts and no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Mammography certification required within 24 months of hire if not currently certified.
• Graduate of an AMA Radiography program.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic, therapeutic procedures, and research using advanced imaging systems.
• Assist radiologists with interventional biopsy procedures.
• Operate radiographic equipment independently and provide high quality diagnostic images.

In this role you will get too:
Responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients of all ages for diagnostic, therapeutic procedures, and/or research purposes, which utilize advanced aspects of computer assisted, digital image recording, and analysis systems. The technologist assists radiologists with interventional biopsy procedures. This position is also responsible for the independent operation of radiographic equipment and for providing high quality diagnostic images to the radiologist and referring physicians.

Education Qualifications:

Education Requirement:

• Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Radiography program

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Mammography certification required within 24 months of hire if not currently certified

West Market:

• If North Dakota, must have current license on North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire
