Job summary

Mission Health, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform mammography and related imaging procedures in our Asheville imaging services. You will operate dedicated equipment, follow protocols, and ensure patient safety and comfort during the exam.

The role requires ARRT Radiography, mammography registry or eligibility within 12 months, an associate degree or vocational training, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered in Radiography and Mammography registry or eligibility required.
• Associate degree or vocational training required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography and imaging procedures independently or under supervision.
• Maintain QC/QA within regulatory guidelines and comply with ACR/MQSA standards.
• Ensure patient safety protocols and confidentiality; first-line interface with patients.
• Represent Mission Health System professionally and support imaging workflow.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs mammography and imaging procedures utilizing dedicated mammography and imaging equipment independently or under appropriate supervision, ensuring that QC/QA is maintained within regulatory guidelines and mammography protocols are compliant with ACR/MQSA standards. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram assuming responsibility for patient safety protocols. Performs all duties relating to the overall function of mammography to include quality control, quality improvement, and clerical. Observes strict confidentiality in dealing with patients, families, and co-workers. Represents Mission Health System in a positive and professional manner.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-M) Mammography must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography
• Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
• Required License: Must be ARRT registered in Radiography a. Completes requirements for CEU for re-certification. Must have Mammography Registry or obtain registry within 12 months of hire. BLS certified.
• Required Experience: Ability to organize work and handle multiple projects/priorities. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology
