Job summary

Mission Health, an operating division of HCA Healthcare, is hiring an MRI Technologist in Asheville, NC. You will perform MRI procedures on diverse patients, ensuring safety and data handling with advanced MRI systems.

The role requires ARRT/ARMRIT registration, a JRCERT radiography program, and at least 2 years of radiology experience, with independent judgment and adherence to sterile technique as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT and/or ARMRIT registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging; BLS certified.
• Two years of radiology experience or equivalent MRI clinical education.

Responsibilities

• Provide imaging services utilizing MRI equipment.
• Perform a variety of MRI procedures on patients, maintaining sterile technique when needed.
• Ensure patient and staff safety in the MRI suite and assist physicians as required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI technologist must demonstrate the ability and the competency to provide imaging services utilizing Magnetic Resonance medical equipment. The MRI technologist performs a variety of MRI procedures, invasive and non-invasive on a variety of patients. In doing so the MRI technologist is required to utilize sterile technique if necessary, operating complex MRI equipment and assist physicians as needed. The MRI technologist is responsible for the manipulation of computer data and images for interpretation, and reproducing them on film, and /or the utilization of a networking system for permanent storage. This position will function without constant supervision. Independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative are essential. Responsibility for designated areas and procedures is assumed. The MRI technologist is responsible for the safety of patients and staff in the MRI suite, and implemental in patient MRI screening.

What qualifications you will need:

1. Required Education: Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
2. Required License: Must be ARRT and/or ARMRIT registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. BLS certified.
3. Required Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology department or have approved experience gained through a clinical education program in MRI.
