Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with mammography expertise to perform stereotactic biopsy and QC-related duties. The role involves conducting full mammography studies, including needle localization and ductograms, with autonomy and occasional indirect supervision in a high-volume environment.

Required ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography and current BLS; preferred candidates have 1 year in mammography and stereotactic QC, possibly with clinical research

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by ARRT as Radiologic Technologist with Radiography and Mammography certification.
• Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and QC in mammography.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One year of mammography experience (preferred).
• One year of stereotactic procedures/QC experience (preferred).
• Experience in a Clinical Research setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform stereotactic biopsy and related QC for mammography.
• Carry out all types of mammography studies including needle localization and ductograms.
• Operate with autonomy and under indirect supervision in designated areas.

Additionally, this position is characterized by the ability to perform all types of mammography studies to include needle localization and ductograms. Works in areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in Radiography and Mammography R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT).
• Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support. (BLS)

PREFERRED

• One (1) year of experience in mammography.
• One (1) year of experience in stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography.
• Experience in Clinical Research setting.
