Job summary

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a permanent role with an outpatient healthcare client in Toms River, NJ. You will perform specialized examinations of the breast to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.

Operate mammographic equipment and deliver high-quality diagnostic images while providing compassionate patient care. Required ARRT(M) and NJ license, with BLS certification and 1+ year imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT(M) certification.
• Current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology for New Jersey.
• BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred, including hands-on mammographic equipment and image acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment per policies and protocols.
• Produce timely, high-quality diagnostic images with professional patient care.
• Monitor patients during exams and respond to discomfort or medical concerns.
• Educate patients through the process with sensitivity.
• Answer physician questions regarding imaging and findings.
• Maintain patient privacy and safeguard PHI and onsite medications.
• Demonstrate professional behavior and cooperative relationships with colleagues.

Minimum Requirements

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography ARRT(R)(M) certification.
• Current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology for New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred, including hands‑on experience with mammographic equipment and image acquisition.
• Experience producing high-quality diagnostic mammographic images and applying appropriate compression, exposure modes, grid selection, focal spot selection, AEC and other technical adjustments.
• Experience interacting with patients during imaging exams, monitoring patient well‑being, and responding to patient discomfort or medical concerns.
