Job summary

ImageCare Radiology in Jefferson Township is hiring a Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality mammography x-rays for referring physicians and to help maintain ARRT certification.

This on-site role requires 1 year of medical imaging experience (mammography/x-ray preferred), HIPAA compliance, patient care excellence, and onboarding at Mount Olive on the first day; Saturday 8:00am–4:00pm shift; competitive benefits included. Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required for this role.
• 1 year of medical imaging experience is preferred (mammography/x-ray).
• Maintaining HIPAA practices and patient privacy is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform and process routine mammography X-rays for referrals.
• Maintain and verify patient orders and study information in EMR and PACS.
• Stock rooms with supplies and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Demonstrate excellent patient care and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain continuing education to ensure ARRT certification maintenance.
• Adhere to physician study routing preferences and exam verification.

ImageCare is seeking a Mammography Technologist for our Jefferson office. All candidates must report to Mount Olive on their first day for onboarding.

Schedule:

Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

To perform quality mammography x-rays films for referring physicians for diagnosing a patient's condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Perform and process routine mammography x-rays.
• 2. Perform 100 mammographies per year to maintain certification.
• 3. Stock rooms with supplies.
• 4. Demonstrate excellent patient care
• 5. Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training
• 6. Always verify patient with exam order and study to be performed
• 7. Maintenance and organization of patient film file records in our EMR and on site as needed.
• 8. Handling patient priors as needed.
• 9. Checking and verifying exam with EMR order vs Rx
• 10. Verifying images, notes, authorization number if pertinent to patient exams.
• 11. Verifying Physician study routing preferences.
• 12. Scan in patient paperwork and verify exams in PACS with all necessary information for Radiologist to read exam.
• 13. Maintains continuing education as required to ensure ARRT certification.
• 14. Maintain clean and stocked work area.
• 15. Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training
• 16. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
