Job summary

Health First is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for per diem coverage in Florida. You will ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to hospital protocols while collaborating with the radiology team.

The role requires Florida licensure, ARRT certification (Mammography preferred), and BLS. Expect on-call duties and alignment with the I CARE values within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Hold a current Florida State license as a General Radiographer.
• Possess ARRT registration or be registry eligible.
• Have ARRT(M) mammography certification.
• Maintain a current BLS Healthcare Provider card.
• Computer skills relevant to radiology workflow.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Be able to report to department within 30 minutes when on call.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Verify patient identity using two forms of ID for every patient.
• Perform time-outs before invasive procedures.
• Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles.
• Position patients and acquire images meeting quality standards.
• Document data into the Mammography Reporting System (MRS).
• Review exam orders and obtain relevant patient history.
• Follow infection control and aseptic techniques.
