Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Mammography Technologist to operate imaging equipment and produce diagnostic breast images under physician direction. The role includes screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic procedures, with patient positioning and education as part of daily duties.

The candidate will ensure QC per MQSA/ACR, assist with ACR accreditation, proper labeling, and timely transmission of images to the PACS. NY state licensure and ARRT Mammography are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.
• 2 years diagnostic experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• New York State L.R.T. license; Mammography ARRT registration or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate Mammographic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images as directed by physicians.
• Perform screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic mammography procedures.
• Position patients and apply clinical judgment to obtain high-quality studies.
• Assist with patient education, labeling of images, and infection control.
