Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and some special procedures in the Radiology department. You will prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, assist radiologists, and ensure safety practices while maintaining care standards.

The role requires mammography certification within one year, NY radiology license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with on-call shifts. Excellence in patient communication is expected.

Qualifications

• High School required with radiography certificate or hospital program.
• Associates degree preferred; 1-3 years experience; 2 years preferred.
• Must pass mammography certification within 1 year of hire.
• Active NY radiology license required; BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for examinations with protocol-specific requirements.
• Assist radiologists during procedures and ensure proper documentation.
• Operate and calibrate radiology equipment and perform QA tasks.
• Work on-call, holidays, or overtime to ensure department coverage.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and report malfunctions.
• Process images, print CDs, and manage RIS/PACS workflows.
• Notify transport when patients are ready and document communications.
