Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist apprentice in Farmington Hills. You will perform diagnostic mammography exams under general supervision, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

The role requires an associates degree in radiography, ARRT registration in good standing, and BLS certification, with full-time daytime hours Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree from accredited Radiography program required.
• ARRT registration in good standing required upon hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic Mammography exams according to policy and ALARA principles.
• Maintain quality images and patient safety during procedures.
• Adhere to department policies and supporting staff as needed.

Job description

Apprentice Hours will be from 7:00 am to 3:30pm, Monday -Friday.

Once apprenticeship is completed, then it will convert to 7:30 am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Corewell Health Farmington Hills opened on Jan. 19, 1965, as a 200-bed facility known then as Botsford General Hospital. Today, Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status.

Scope of work

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures perform diagnostic Mammography exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation while applying ALARA principles of radiation protection.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Associates degree. Graduated from accredited Radiography program required.
• CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Must remain in good standing with ARRT Upon Hired Required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association or Red Cross
