Job summary

BJC HealthCare System invites applications for a Full-Time Mammography Technologist – RT (R) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/ACC Breast Center. Responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, with opportunities to learn localization, stereotactic, and CEM biopsies.

Rotating sites and occasional Saturday coverage may apply. Requirements include an Associate degree or trade school equivalency and RT (R) registry.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade school equivalency required.
• RT (R) registry preferred or willingness to train.
• Experience in mammography or related imaging modalities beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures including mammography.
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures and ensures accuracy.
• Rotates between sites and may participate in on-call or multi-site scheduling.

Position Details:Day Shift Hours: Mon – Fri at

rotating shifts between 7am & 4:30pm with two Saturdays a yearLocation: Rotates between Siteman Cancer Center in the GCW Building & Center for Advanced medicine Building with the option to also rotate to our South County, Highlands Screening Center , or the Mammography VanPerforms screening and diagnostic mammograms, with the ability to learn additional responsibilities of Localizations, and stereotactic and Contrast Enhanced (CEM) biopsies.RT (M) Certification – preferred but not requiredWilling to Train for Mammography (M)!!!Mammography Technologist, Mammographer, Mammo TechRequirements:Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalencyR.T. Role PurposePerforms diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of

diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
