Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Full-Time Mammography Technologist (RT (R)) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital - ACC Breast Center. Responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammograms with opportunities to learn localization, stereotactic, and CEM biopsy techniques, across rotating sites in the metro area.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree or trade school equivalency, and an RT(R) registry is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms with potential to learn localization, stereotactic and Contrast Enhanced (CEM) biopsy techniques.
• Operates across rotating sites including Siteman Cancer Center, GCW Building, Center for Advanced Medicine, and affiliated centers.

Additional Information About The Role

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Mammography Technologist - RT (R) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital - ACC Breast Center

• Day Shift Hours: Mon - Fri at rotating shifts between 7am & 4:30pm with two Saturdays a year
• Location: Rotates between Siteman Cancer Center in the GCW Building & Center for Advanced medicine Building with the option to also rotate to our South County, Highlands Screening Center , or the Mammography Van
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms, with the ability to learn additional responsibilities of Localizations, and stereotactic and Contrast Enhanced (CEM) biopsies.
• RT (M) Certification - preferred but not required
• Willing to Train for Mammography (M)

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Responsibilities

Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
