Job summary

Ascension Health in Tulsa is seeking a full-time Mammography Radiologic Technologist to perform high-precision mammography exams and educate patients on breast health. You will ensure accurate imaging, patient records, and compliant safety standards in a busy imaging department.

The role requires BLS certification within 30 days of hire and ARRT/ARDMS/CCI credentials as applicable, with a preference for mammo experience.

Qualifications

  • BLS within 30 days of hire date (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
  • Credential options: Cardiographic Tech (CCI) or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
  • Education: HS diploma or equivalent, or an associate/technical degree or 4 years related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-precision mammography exams by positioning patients and adjusting parameters for clear diagnostic images.
  • Educate and support patients about screening and breast health.
  • Deliver meticulous diagnostic records and upload images and histories to PACS for physician review.
  • Uphold radiation safety and quality standards to protect patients and staff.

Salary : Additional $8 per hour on top of base pay

How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Perform high-precision mammography exams by expertly positioning patients and adjusting technical parameters to produce the clearest possible diagnostic images for early detection.

  • Educate and support patients throughout the imaging process, providing clear insights into the role of regular screening to empower them in their preventative breast health journey.

  • Deliver meticulous diagnostic records by ensuring all images, patient histories, and markers are accurately captured and uploaded to the digital system (PACS) for seamless physician review.

  • Uphold rigorous radiation safety and quality standards to create a secure, compliant environment that protects both our patients and our clinical team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • One or more of the following:

  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences we're seeking
  • 2 years mammo experience preferred.
