Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform specialized breast examinations and operate mammographic radiographic equipment. You will review requisitions, position patients, select protocols, and ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.

The role requires graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program (or JRCERT accredited training) and ARRT radiography/mammography credentials, with BLS on hire.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• Licenses: ARRT Radiography and ARRT Mammography, BLS required upon hire.
• No experience required; 1 year mammography experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews exam requisitions for pertinent information and notes additional information.
• Positions patients and equipment, selects protocol and technique; ensures labeling and image quality.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and obtains additional images as needed.
• Maintains records and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies.
• Provides customer service/support to the patient population.

Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist performs specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients. The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.

What you will do

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews all exam requisitions for pertinent information and makes notes on all additional pertinent information.
• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all required exams on patients, positioning the patient and equipment, selecting the protocol, technique and utilizing all required equipment.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed.
• Ensures accuracy of each exam by following established procedures and labeling images correctly.
• Provide Customer Service/Support to patient population.
• Maintains all required records, reports, and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.

• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (R) - ARRT Upon Hire Required and
• (M) ARDMS or ARRT - Mammography (M) - ARRT Upon Hire Required and
• BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
