Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Bowie, MD. You will provide customer service, perform vehicle and foot patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while assisting with access control and emergency responses.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a retail or mall location.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of retail spaces, common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations; prepare clear and accurate reports as required.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, emergency response activities, and communication with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
