Job summary

Allied Universal in Bowie, MD is seeking a part-time Security Officer Shopping Center Patrol Driver to provide customer service, deter incidents, and maintain a secure environment at a retail/mall location.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, being 21+, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Schedule: Tue, Fri, Sat 3:00 PM–11:00 PM; pay: $16.50/hour.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a retail or mall location.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of retail spaces, common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations; prepare clear and accurate reports as required.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, emergency response activities, and communication with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
