Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Mall Center Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist with access control, and deliver excellent customer service to visitors and tenants.

The role supports Allied Universal’s culture of teamwork, integrity, and service. This full-time overnight shift position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 20+ pounds, and comfort with using computers or tablets.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal policy.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly, coordinating with site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail areas, parking facilities, storefront perimeters, and exterior grounds to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access points, observe traffic, and report maintenance concerns or policy violations.
• Document incidents and daily activities in required reports to maintain a welcoming retail environment.
