Job summary

Simon Property Group seeks a Director of Marketing and Business Development at Ellenton Premium Outlets to drive revenue through mall and media assets and to guide the center's strategic marketing direction.

Responsibilities include creating annual marketing plans, executing retailer intensification, managing budgets, and growing social media presence while coordinating with mall teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in sales, marketing or business.
• 4–6 years in sales, sponsorship, strategic marketing, event management, and budgeting.
• Knowledge of retail management, marketing and advertising; familiarity with media industry.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, selling and negotiation skills.
• Superior computer skills and ability to communicate well verbally, visually and in writing.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
• Some overnight travel required.
• Ability to think strategically.

Responsibilities

• Identify, create and sell revenue opportunities through strategic positioning of mall assets, media assets and programming.
• Develop retailer intensification strategies and promote platform program opportunities.
• Execute SBV programs and initiatives at the field level.
• Create annual marketing budgets based on retailer dues and allocate expenses to support programming.
• Develop and execute an annual marketing plan aligning with corporate marketing objectives.
• Coordinate shopping center visual merchandising, signage and advertising programs.
• Maintain media relations and respond to media inquiries.
• Grow social media channels and data collection (SMS/Email) for the unit.
• Participate in Manager on Duty rotation and mall management team activities.
