Job summary

Helping Hearts USA LLC is seeking an experienced male overnight caregiver for client-specific dementia care during the night shift. The role focuses on safety supervision, personal care, companionship, and maintaining a calm overnight environment.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of caregiving experience, CPR/First Aid optional or required, and a strong focus on dignity, privacy, and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience in home care, memory care, or a related setting.
• Ability to provide personal care confidently and respectfully.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Calm demeanor, patience, and sound judgment.
• Professional appearance and excellent hygiene.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow care plans and documentation procedures.
• Must complete onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Overnight Safety Supervision: Stay awake, alert, and monitor for fall risks, wandering, or unsafe behaviors.
• Dementia and Alzheimer’s Support: Use calm communication and gentle redirection.
• Personal Care Assistance: Help with toileting, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Companionship and Emotional Support: Provide reassurance and engage the client during the night.
• Music-Supported Care: Use calming music to promote relaxation at bedtime.
• Meal, Snack, and Hydration Support: Prepare light snacks and ensure hydration.
• Light Housekeeping Related to Care: Keep environment clean and safe, handle light laundry.
• Documentation and Communication: Record observations and report changes per protocol.
