Helping Hearts USA LLC is hiring an experienced male caregiver for an overnight dementia care case in Brentwood, TN. The role emphasizes safety supervision, personal care, companionship, and using music to create a calm night environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of caregiving experience, CPR/First Aid, and dementia care experience is preferred. This is a non-medical, in-home position with both full-time and part-time options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years caregiving experience.
• Experience in home care, assisted living, memory care, or a related setting.
• Ability to provide personal care confidently and respectfully.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Calm demeanor, patience, and sound judgment.
• Professional appearance and hygiene.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow directions, care plans, and documentation procedures.
• Must complete onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Overnight Safety Supervision: Stay awake and vigilant, monitor fall risks, maintain a safe environment, respond to nighttime needs, provide reassurance.
• Dementia and Alzheimer's Support: Communicate calmly, redirect during confusion or anxiety, support routines, use de-escalation techniques.
• Personal Care Assistance: Assist with toileting, dressing, grooming, transfers, hygiene, and privacy.
• Companionship and Emotional Support: Offer calm companionship and reassurance during the night.
• Music-Supported Care: Use calming music to promote relaxation.
• Meal, Snack, and Hydration Support: Provide snacks and ensure hydration.
• Light Housekeeping Related to Care: Keep environment clean and organized, light laundry.
• Documentation and Communication: Record observations, report changes, maintain confidentiality.
• Transportation: Maintain valid driver's license and transportation as required.
