Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a high school Work-Based Learning program.
• Career pathway in manufacturing, engineering, or design or related experience.
• Interest in technology, engineering, or design fields.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with CAD software.
• Self-motivated with good organization and time management.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
• Must be at least 17 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support MakerSpace and Shaw Technical Academy staff in daily operations.
• Setup and maintain 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and other fabrication tools.
• Assist Shaw associates and interns with MakerSpace projects and troubleshooting.
• Participate in design and prototyping activities under supervision.
• Maintain a safe workspace and organize inventory.
• Document projects and create simple guides for future users.
