Shaw Industries Group Inc. invites high school students to join the MakerSpace as a part‑time Work‑Based Learning Intern at Shaw Plant 2.
You will gain hands‑on experience in design, prototyping, and manufacturing using 3D printers, CNC, and laser cutters under project leads' supervision. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a high school WBL program with interest in STEM, engineering, or design, possess basic CAD skills, and demonstrate teamwork and reliability.
High School Work-Based Learning Intern – MakerSpace, Shaw Plant 2
The MakerSpace Internship/Work Based Learning position provides a high school senior with hands‑on experience in a collaborative, creative environment. Interns will assist with projects that involve design, prototyping, and innovation using advanced tools and technologies. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in STEM, engineering, design, or manufacturing careers.
Part‑time: Approximately 15–20 hours per week during school term (first shift).
Flexible schedule to accommodate school commitments.
Paid internship.
This internship can lead to careers in: Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Advanced Manufacturing Product Design and Development Robotics and Automation CAD Design and Drafting Technical Support and Maintenance
