Job summary

George Mason University’s Mason Innovation Exchange (MIX) seeks a proactive MIX Program Coordinator to join our team. This part-time, on-site role supports the MIX Makerspace, Media Lab, and Entrepreneurship Incubator across Fairfax, Arlington, and Manassas campuses.

You will collaborate with the Senior Director, manage student staff, coordinate workshops, and organize events, ensuring programs run smoothly and safely while promoting inclusive STEM and entrepreneurship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, education, business, or related field.
• Proficiency with social media and marketing.
• Experience in event coordination and scheduling.
• Experience managing and supervising student staff or interns.
• Proficiency with Makerspace equipment including 3D printers and laser cutters.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate student staff schedules and operational coverage.
• Recruit, train, and supervise student staff.
• Maintain MIX equipment and supplies and ensure materials are stocked.
• Plan and execute innovation-focused events and workshops.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director on strategic programs.
