Job summary

Bullitt County Public Library is seeking a proactive Maker/Learning Lab Librarian to manage day-to-day operations, run maker and STEM activities, and inspire community engagement. The role requires strong technical skills, customer service, and the ability to train staff and patrons on equipment such as 3D printers, Cricut, and sublimation printers.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
Two years’ experience in computer or technology-related services.
Proficient with MS Office, including Excel and Outlook.
Reads and speaks English proficiently.

Responsibilities

Oversees the Maker/Learning Lab and collaborates with Event Planners to develop maker and STEM events.
Creates a welcoming environment and assists patrons with equipment and policies.
Trains patrons on machinery such as 3D printers and Cricut and recommends improvements.
Operates and maintains lab equipment, software, inventory, and supplies.
Develops new technologies, services, and projects for the lab.
Develops staff training on equipment and updates procedures.
Tracks usage, creates reports, and analyzes statistics.
Performs other duties as assigned.
