Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Addison, TX to ensure vacant units meet quality standards and are turned quickly to market-ready condition. You will perform technical and mechanical work in line with Greystar’s size and standards for occupancy.

Responsibilities include completing repairs, sealing around fixtures, inspecting and repairing sheetrock, painting touches, and maintaining grounds and common areas. Safety training and timely documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in.
• Caulked and sealed around windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and repairs/replaces as needed.
• Performs touch-up paints for vacant and occupied units.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Completes all needed repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in.
• Ensures apartment homes are caulked and sealed around windows, sinks, toilets, and showers.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and repairs and/or replaces as needed.
• Performs touch-up paints for vacant and occupied units as directed by Service Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-cutting and expense control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Completes make-ready checklist and all required maintenance documentation on time.
• Complies with safety policies by attending safety meetings and completing required trainings.
• Demonstrates customer service by addressing resident questions and completing work orders efficiently.
