Job summary

Abbey Residential is seeking a Make-Ready Technician for Abbey at Riverchase in Birmingham, AL. You will prepare apartment homes to be move-in ready, assist with moving appliances, inspect and repair fixtures, perform light painting and caulking, and support after-hours on-call maintenance in rotations.

The role requires a detail-oriented, energetic professional with a background in multifamily maintenance and a willingness to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of multifamily maintenance or make-ready experience.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• High energy and positive can-do attitude.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management.
• Professional appearance and excellent service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and replacing appliances.
• Inspect, repair, or replace faucets, sinks, bathtubs, tiles, and plugs.
• Perform light painting, drywall patching, and caulking.
• Replace or repair ceiling fans, blinds, light fixtures, and more.
• Change HVAC filters and report issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Clean carpets using commercial equipment.
• Assist with apartment trash-outs and property grounds upkeep.
• Support the team with after-hours on-call maintenance (rotation).

What You’ll Be Doing:
