Job summary

Abbey Residential in Birmingham, AL is hiring a Make Ready Technician to prepare apartment homes to be move-in ready. This full-time role offers hands-on work, excellent benefits, and growth opportunities within a fast-paced maintenance team.

You will assist with appliance moves, repair fixtures, perform light painting and caulking, replace HVAC filters, and help with trash-outs and grounds upkeep. A minimum of 1 year MF maintenance is required; HVAC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of multifamily maintenance or make-ready experience.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• High energy and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills.
• Professional appearance and excellent service skills.
• Willing to work weekends and participate in the on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and replacing appliances
• Inspect, repair, or replace faucets, sinks, bathtubs, tiles, and plugs

• Replace or repair ceiling fans, blinds, light fixtures, and more

• Support the team with after-hours on-call maintenance

What You’ll Be Doing:
