Job summary
Abbey Residential is seeking a Make-Ready Technician for Abbey at Riverchase in Birmingham, AL. You will prepare apartment homes to be move-in ready, assist with moving appliances, inspect and repair fixtures, perform light painting and caulking, and support after-hours on-call maintenance in rotations.
The role requires a detail-oriented, energetic professional with a background in multifamily maintenance and a willingness to work weekends.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of multifamily maintenance or make-ready experience.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- High energy and positive can-do attitude.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management.
- Professional appearance and excellent service skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with moving and replacing appliances.
- Inspect, repair, or replace faucets, sinks, bathtubs, tiles, and plugs.
- Perform light painting, drywall patching, and caulking.
- Replace or repair ceiling fans, blinds, light fixtures, and more.
- Change HVAC filters and report issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Clean carpets using commercial equipment.
- Assist with apartment trash-outs and property grounds upkeep.
- Support the team with after-hours on-call maintenance (rotation).
